Lamar Jackson is one of the most uniquely talented QBs in the NFL. But six years into his career, things haven’t exactly gone his way yet in the postseason.
Per NFL writer Scott Kacsmar, Jackson has the longest streak of playoff games taking three or more sacks in NFL history with six. Followed by Cowboys legend Roger Staubach (5) and Joe Flacco and Ben Roethlisberger (4).
Most consecutive playoff games taking 3+ sacks, NFL history
1. Lamar Jackson – 6 (active)
2. Roger Staubach – 5
3. Joe Flacco – 4
3. Ben Roethlisberger – 4— Scott Kacsmar (@ScottKacsmar) January 30, 2024
As great as Lamar is at escaping the rush, the Kansas City Chiefs were still able to get home and sack him four times for 17 yards and even force a fumble.
Part of that stat may have a lot to do with the Ravens seemingly giving up their identity as a run-heavy football team in some of these bigger spots and having Lamar drop-back much more often than he’s done in the regular season.
It’s another premature playoff exit for Baltimore, whose taken a lot of heat over the past 48 hours. They’ll look to break that streak for Jackson next year.
