Coming into the league, some NFL execs believed Lamar Jackson would have to switch positions because he couldn’t be a quarterback at the pro level.
Now he’ll likely be a two-time MVP.
Asked about the doubters during a recent appearance on Tom Brady’s “Let’s Go!” podcast, Lamar admitted that he still has a chip on his shoulder from that. Telling the seven-time Super Bowl champ:
To be honest, I definitely do still have that chip on my shoulder. I don’t think I’ve accomplished what I wanted to yet, so that chip is still there. I want that Super Bowl. That’s the accolade I really want so bad. I’ve been chasing that for a long time. Since high school just winning that state championship. In college, winning a national championship. Since I didn’t complete those two, I’ve got to complete this one.

Jackson helped lead the Ravens to a 13-4 record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. But postseason success has eluded him to this point in his career.
Baltimore is in as good a position as they’ve ever been to win it all with Jackson behind center.
The journey starts in the divisional round when the Ravens host the lowest advancing seed Jan. 20-21.
