It’s championship or bust for Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens this season, there’s no question about it. Even he’s willing to admit it.
With the Divisional Round of the playoffs set to begin this Saturday with the Texans-Ravens game, Jackson acknowledged that he’s under pressure to win the Super Bowl this year.
Jackson opened up about his mindset for this year’s playoffs during a conversation with The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec.
“I remember coming into the building with all of those guys. Now, it’s just like me, Gus (Edwards) and Mark (Andrews),” Jackson said. “We had so many guys. It was incredible, man. They’re all around the league right now and we’re not in the same locker room anymore. It’s crazy.
“It made me sit back and realize, ‘Damn, I’m getting older. I’ve got to get a championship now.’ That’s one of the reasons I’m stressing that I need to win it. I’m not getting any younger. It’s best to win it now.”

Winning a Super Bowl has been an obsession for Lamar Jackson. He’s never been more equipped to accomplish that goal than he is right now. https://t.co/wpYo5qIDf0

When it comes to the postseason, Jackson hasn’t been good enough for the Ravens. In four career playoff games, he has completed 55.9 percent of his pass attempts for 900 yards with three touchdowns and five interceptions. Most importantly, the Ravens are 1-3 in those four games.
Jackson will try to change the narrative surrounding him this Saturday against the Texans.
