Lions Defeat Vikings, 30-24
With the Baltimore Ravens knocking the San Francisco 49ers off their pedestal, the Detroit Lions now hold an outside shot at earning the NFC’s No. 1 seed. It’ll take the 49ers to lose a second game and the Eagles to drop one, too, but it’s within reach for the Lions, who currently hold the No. 3 seed, all at 11-4.
Last week, they played a tight divisional game against the Vikings, that should never have been close as Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens was intercepted four times. However, wide receiver Justin Jefferson went off for 141 yards and a touchdown.
This will be quite the matchup for the Lions. A good barometer as they have already punched their ticket to the playoffs.
Cowboys Lose Heartbreaker to Dolphins, 22-20
The Cowboys’ quarterback continues to put up impressive performances this season, but his defense couldn’t stand firm when they needed to most. With 3:32 left, Prescott connected with wide receiver Brandin Cooks for an 8-yard touchdown, putting them up by a point. But the Dolphins marched downfield and Jason Sanders kicked a 29-yard game-winning field goal to knock them down to 10-5.
