Former Baltimore Ravens safety Chuck Clark confirmed that he asked for a trade from the team last year.
He ended up not getting his wish during the season but he did get it this past March when he was traded to the New York Jets.
“I was ready to get out of there,” Clark said.

Clark then confirmed that part of the reason why he wanted out was that the Ravens drafted Kyle Hamilton, who is his replacement.
Clark nodded when he was asked if Kyle Hamilton being drafted was a reason he wanted to be traded by the Ravens.

Clark spent the first six seasons of his career with the Ravens before he was traded. He finished the 2022 season with 101 total tackles (61 solo), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and four passes defended.
For his career, he’s racked up 384 total tackles (240 solo), 3.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, five interceptions, and 32 passes defended.
He promises to be a key cog in New York’s defensive backfield this season.
