It may take years for us to properly evaluate the results of the 2022 NFL Draft. But the initial draft grades for the first round are in – and two teams got top marks.
NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter published his draft grades. He was pretty generous with A’s and A-‘s, giving out a whopping 17 of them – including a few to teams that didn’t even have a pick.
But there were two teams that he felt deserved the coveted A+ draft grade: The Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles.
For the Ravens, Reuter praised them for getting Kyle Hamilton and Tyler Linderbaum while also getting value in the Marquise Brown trade. As for the Eagles, he loved the pick of Jordan Davis and the big trade that brought wide receiver A.J. Brown into the fold.

Just about everyone loved what the Baltimore Ravens did in the first round. They’re one of the few teams that got the best players at their respective positions outside of the top 10 – and didn’t have to trade up for either of them.
The Eagles certainly surprised people with what they did though. Making that big trade for A.J. Brown stunned people, and their pick of Jordan Davis shored up their already solid defensive line.
Arguments can be made that teams like the Lions, Giants and Jets could get A+ grades too. But it’s semantics at this point.
Which teams would you have given top draft grades too?
