Earlier: Baltimore Ravens fans might be on the verge of getting some positive news about their team.
Moments ago, reporter Jamison Hensley, who covers the Ravens for ESPN, tweeted that a source told him “good news” is “on the way for the Ravens.
Crypic, yes, but Hensley is plugged in, so we’re expecting his tip to be legitimate and probably fairly significant.
Just got a text: “Good news on the way for the Ravens.”

Of course, the best news the Ravens could possibly get is an end of the Lamar Jackson contract saga. Jackson and the team that drafted him in the first round five years ago have been at an impasse in negotiations for some time now.
Adding to the intrigue is the fact that Jackson himself had people speculating the other day when he cryptically tweeted a single emoji along with a SpongeBob Squarepants GIF.
We’ll see if any of this means anything pretty soon hopefully.
Update: Jay Glazer says the Ravens and Jackson have made “major progress” toward a new deal and could have a contract finalized “very soon.”
In non-draft scoopage, hearing there’s been major progress between Lamar Jackson and #Ravens. Source close to Jackson told me if no hiccups could be done VERY soon, any day now

Now, we wait.
