It’s safe to say Lamar Jackson approved of the Ravens’ first-round pick.
Right before the Ravens selected Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers, the former MVP tweeted, “I’m smelling more good news.”
After the pick was announced, Jackson said, “Well it happened.”

Flowers will give Baltimore’s passing game a much-needed boost. In his final season at Boston College, he had 78 receptions for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns.
By going at No. 22 overall, Flowers became the first Boston College wide receiver to ever go in the first round.
Fortunately for Flowers, he won’t have to worry about dealing with uncertainty at the quarterback position.
Earlier this Thursday, the Ravens officially agreed to a five-year, $260 million contract with Jackson. The deal includes $185 million in total guarantees.
Most analysts will have lofty expectations for the Ravens this fall, especially now that Jackson has a better receiving corps at his disposal.
