The Baltimore Ravens are no longer the betting favorites to retain Lamar Jackson.
According to Bookies’ Adam Thompson, three teams have better odds than Baltimore of attaining the free-agent quarterback. The Atlanta Falcons lead the way at +300, a 25 percent implied probability.
They’re followed by the Carolina Panthers (+450) and Las Vegas Raiders (+500) before the Ravena (+550).
Atlanta’s odds might have jumped after cutting Marcus Mariota on Tuesday. Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot said they will “continue to add to the position” alongside Desmond Ridder.
Jackson and the Ravens have yet to compromise on a new deal. Last week, ESPN reported that Jackson wants a fully guaranteed contract in line with the record-setting five-year, $230 million deal the Cleveland Browns gave Deshaun Watson last year.
“A couple of months ago, I would have said no way [that a trade will happen],” a team source told ESPN following Baltimore’s playoff elimination. “Now it feels like anything is possible.”
The Falcons clearly have a need under center, and the NFC South remains wide open. When asking where Jackson could go if leaving the Ravens, The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov said Atlanta was “the overwhelming answer.”
Sportsbooks appear to agree that the Falcons are an increasingly likely landing spot for Jackson.
