A 33-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday for the 2024 stabbing death of his girlfriend’s 6-year-old son in Southwest Baltimore.
Alan Geslicki pleaded guilty to killing Seron O’Neal at the child’s Morrell Park home on the 2000 block of Deering Avenue in February.
“Today, Alan Geslicki, a violent repeat offender, was sentenced to life in prison, suspending all but 60 years, for the brutal and senseless stabbing of six-year-old Seron Addison in front of his 13-year-old brother,” Baltimore State’s Attorney Ivan Bates said in a statement.
“The murder of a defenseless child is one of the most horrific crimes imaginable, and there is no justification for such a heinous act,” he said.
Geslicki’s attorney could not be immediately reached for comment.
In January 2024, Baltimore Police responded to a “domestic-related stabbing” at the boy’s home in the Morrell Park neighborhood.
Police found the Seron with multiple stab wounds. He died later at an area hospital. Geslicki was arrested following a vehicle stop and brief foot pursuit shortly after the stabbing.
Neighbors said that Seron, a first grader at James McHenry Elementary/Middle School, played with many of the children living on Deering. He enjoyed showing off his bike and helping his neighbors with the mail, neighbors said.
