The New York Jets gave Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook a shot at winning a Super Bowl by releasing him late in the season so he could sign with the Baltimore Ravens. But in his first media appearance ahead of his debut for the team, he may have taken a shot at his former boss.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Cook gave high praise to his new head coach John Harbaugh that some have taken as a veiled shot at Jets head coach Robert Saleh.
“Just to be around Harbaugh, when you’ve got a head coach like that, it’s easy to go out and give 1,000-percent effort,” Cook said.
Many football fans are convinced that this is a shot at Saleh and their organization, particularly his line about the effort he’s prepared to give for the Ravens:

“So is this idiot implying that despite being payed millions of dollars to play a game he wouldn’t give every coach full effort?” one user replied.
“Shot at Saleh lol,” wrote another.
“Did #Jets get 1000% effort?” a third asked.
Do you think Cook was taking shots at the Jets or head coach Robert Saleh with his words here?
