It’s been a year-and-a-half since Antonio Brown’s controversial exit from his final NFL game. But it appears that the Pro Bowl wide receiver has a return on his mind.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Brown wrote that he is “Excited to return to the NFL this year” and added the hashtag “#RavensFlock” along with a photoshopped image of himself wearing a Ravens jersey.
For some NFL fans and analysts the post was a little bit confusing. NFL news aggregator Dov Kleiman seemed to think that Brown legitimately announced he was signing with Baltimore while others realized the joke pretty quickly.
The post was obviously a response to the incredible month of offseason moves that the Ravens have made, culminating in their contract extension with Lamar Jackson yesterday.
Here are some of the most interesting reactions to the news:

The last time we saw Antonio Brown on an NFL field, he was leaving MetLife Stadium shirtless after a sideline blowup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was promptly released and did not play in 2022.
Brown has spent this past offseason working as the owner of an indoor football league team and it hasn’t seemed like he was any closer to joining a team in 2023 than he was in 2022.
You never know though. A team could always get desperate and take a flyer on him if the need suddenly arises.
It just seems unlikely that it will be the Baltimore Ravens.
