It doesn’t get much better than the quarterback matchup we’re in store for this weekend in Baltimore.
With the Chiefs coming to town for Sunday’s AFC Championship against the Ravens, Patrick Mahomes shared his thoughts on Lamar Jackson and if he sees more battles like these in their respective futures.
“He’s going to be the MVP for a reason,” Mahomes admitted. “He goes out there, he leads his team, he scores, he runs, he throws. He does whatever it takes to win, and that’s what the greats do.”
“I knew we were gonna play in a lot of games like this as our careers have gone on, and I’m sure this will be the first of many,” the QB continued.
Mahomes and Jackson were both drafted in 2018 and are about to become two-time MVPs. Sunday’s game should be a great test for each of them as Kansas City and Baltimore boast two of the best defenses in the league.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3 PM ET Sunday on CBS.
