The Baltimore Ravens had a golden opportunity to reach Super Bowl LVIII, but they ultimately came up short against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
We sat down with Ravens outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy on Friday to discuss his 2023 season. He was at Radio Row as part of Bounty’s House of Wingman experience.
During our conversation with Van Noy, we asked him about this weekend’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and 49ers.
Van Noy made it abundantly clear that he has no rooting interest for Sunday’s game. However, he does have one demand for the 49ers: give Christian McCaffrey the football.
“I don’t really care about the game, I just hope Christian McCaffrey gets the ball 40 times,” Van Noy told The Spun.
This is an interesting comment from Van Noy particularly because the Ravens failed to run the football against the Chiefs. Lamar Jackson had eight rushing attempts, but Gus Edwards and Justice Hill only received three carries each.
Maybe this comment from Van Noy was his way of showing support to McCaffrey. It could also be his key to victory. After all, the only real weakness Kansas City has on defense is that it struggles to stop the run.
Super Bowl LVIII will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Although the betting odds favor the 49ers, it seems like everyone is picking the Chiefs.
