Ar’Darius Washington, Baltimore Ravens, Agree to Contract
The 2024 season was easily the best of Ar’Darius Washington’s career. The veteran began the season on the bench, buried on the depth chart behind Kyle Hamilton, Eddie Jackson, and Marcus Williams. While Hamilton remained great, Jackson and Williams struggled and forced Washington into the lineup.
The undrafted free agent was up for the challenge and then some. Starting the final 10 games of the season, Washingon finished his breakout season with two interceptions, eight passes defended, one forced fumble, one sack, 64 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, two quarterback hits, and an 80.9 PFF grade, the eighth-best mark in the league. With his help, the Ravens overcame an 0-2 start and won the AFC North. However, their chances of a Super Bowl came to an end with a heartbreaking playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Ar’Darius Washington originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent following the 2021 NFL Draft. Signing with the Baltimore Ravens, the TCU hardly saw the field as a rookie. Appearing in just three games, Washington recorded just one tackle while spending most of his time on special teams.
The undrafted free agent had a similar season in 2022. Appearing in just three games, Washington bounced on and off the active roster while recording two tackles. He struggled to stay healthy in 2023, appearing in just two games. However, he saw some action when on the field, recording one sack, 11 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, two quarterback hits, and a 65.3 PFF grade.
Since signing his rookie contract, Ar’Darius Washington has appeared in 25 games while making 11 starts. While on the field, the former undrafted free agent has recorded two interceptions, 10 passes defended, two sacks, and 78 tackles.
