The Green Bay Packers could use wideout Romeo Doubs as trade bait for the upcoming NFL Draft next month. According to Pro Football Focus, the source believes the Packers should use Doubs as a reliable trade piece while the team hasn’t found a consistent wideout for quarterback Jordan Love. While the Packers have a deep wide receiver group in Doubs, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, none of them have been stellar. The Packers signed Mecole Hardman to beef up the competition which could spell the end for pretty much any of these wideouts.
Watson has been the only one who’s been in several trade rumors so it’s interesting to see Doubs in the same trade talks this offseason. Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the former Nevada product has more value than Watson who’s been out with a torn ACL since late last year. It wouldn’t make sense for the Packers to ship off Watson in a trade since he probably won’t be able to pass a physical given his state. Meanwhile, Doubs has been effective for Love’s passing attack on the field, recording a 75.0 PFF receiving grade so he should be able to attract some suitors in this year’s draft and these five teams could generate interest.

Possible Next Teams
Baltimore Ravens
While the Baltimore Ravens did sign DeAndre Hopkins to increase their Super Bowl chances, they need a new wideout for the long term. The team has gone through three wideouts Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor and Diontae Johnson to provide some temporary relief for Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. It’s time for the Ravens to solidify their WR3 spot and Doubs could earn that spot once Hopkins eventually retires.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are in a weird spot as far as who will become available as the starter for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice could face suspensions after dealing with off-field issues of their own. Marquise Brown is returning only on a one-year deal but if Rice and Worthy can stay out of trouble, the Chiefs could establish a new homegrown big three of receivers including Doubs. He could be a dependable option if the team loses either Worthy or Rice to a potential suspension.
Los Angeles Chargers
Despite signing tight end Tyler Conklin, the Los Angeles Chargers still need a wide receiver. Mike Williams is returning on a one-year deal but he isn’t the permanent solution for Justin Herbert’s pass offense. 2024 draft pick Ladd McConkey is the only reliable set of hands on this offense but if they add Doubs in the mix, it could change the landscape of the team. Herbert can’t win ball games with just Williams who’s washed up and McConkey still developing, Doubs joining this offense could finally give this offense some consistency.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys lost Brandin Cooks to the Saints this free agency and it spells even more bad news that Cooper Kupp isn’t available anymore too. The options are getting thinner for the team while the Cowboys have yet to find a new WR2 for CeeDee Lamb. If they want to be “selectively aggressive” then they should acquire Doubs.
Carolina Panthers
Since Adam Thielen will probably retire after the 2025 season, the Panthers should find another homegrown pass catcher for quarterback Bryce Young. Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker have bright futures but they’re unproven options. Doubs has more experience in this entire unit other than Thielen which could finally give Young a new potential favorite target.
