Skip Bayless revealed his way-too-early prediction for Super Bowl LIX on this Wednesday’s episode of “Undisputed.”
Bayless doesn’t even have the Kansas City Chiefs making it back to the Super Bowl. That’s because he’s all in on the Baltimore Ravens.
The main reason Bayless is confident in the Ravens is because they signed All-Pro running back Derrick Henry to a two-year contract.
“This was a win the Super Bowl move for the Baltimore Ravens. I’m going to go right out on the end of the limb and pick them to win next year’s Super Bowl,” Bayless said. “This young man – I know he’s 30, but he’s young to me because he’s freakish – I don’t know if I’ve seen anything quite like Derrick Henry. He’s shattering the running back mold.”
Henry might not be considered the No. 1 running back in the NFL, but he’s still more than capable of leading a backfield. This past season, he had 1,167 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 280 attempts.
The Ravens signed Henry to a contract worth up to $20 million. Bayless called it a “steal of a deal for a man who has proven at the highest level that he can be virtually unstoppable.”
Only time will tell if Henry can lead the Ravens to the promised land. They were knocking on the doorstep last season, but they just couldn’t knock off the Chiefs when it mattered most.
