Stephen A. Smith didn’t have much positive to say about Lamar Jackson’s performance on Sunday afternoon.
On Monday’s “First Take,” the ESPN personality ripped Baltimore’s quarterback for falling short in the playoffs once again. Going as far as calling it a “choke job” by the soon to be two-time MVP.
[Patrick] Mahomes is great, he’s phenomenal, he’s the greatest ever… but the big story is Lamar Jackson. Ladies and gentlemen, with all due respect, this was a choke job. Let’s just call it what it is. What is the definition of a choke job? It’s doing what you always do, what you’re accustomed to doing, until the moment arrives, and then you don’t. That is the definition of what we’re talking about over here.

Sunday’s loss dropped Jackson’s postseason record to 2-4 after many believed the Ravens would march to the Super Bowl following a 13-4 regular season and another strong campaign from their star quarterback.
Lamar is still a magical talent but fans in the Charm City have to be wondering if/when he’ll finally break through.
