The New York Jets 2024 season is likely over as superstar wide receiver, Davante Adams and he may land with the Ravens, Chargers in 2025. After sustaining another loss, the Jets were looking to “run the table” at 3-6 but things like a lack of effort and energy were falling apart in a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Adams was hoping to change things around with his NFL career after a trade to the Jets to reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and reignite that chemistry they had in Green Bay. However, the veteran dropping a crucial touchdown pass leaves fans in distraught and Raiders fans were laughing.
His continued struggles could determine the outcome of this upcoming offseason of what the Jets do. Rodgers is getting older each year so it might be time for them to move on despite having high expectations. Now that the team doesn’t have a chance to make it to a postseason, Adams’ production will probably get worse. The grass on the other side wasn’t greener like Adams was hoping so it shouldn’t surprise anyone if requests a trade this offseason.
However, the team will probably team him unless he begins to request his release so he signs with another roster. Adams only has 18 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown in three matchups. Who would want to trade for Adams next offseason? The Ravens and Chargers might make that move if they fail in the playoffs.

Superbowl Fallout?
The Baltimore Ravens have one of the most accomplished rosters this season after signing Derrick Henry and trading for Diontae Johnson. However, they still have an atrocious defense that keeps letting opposing offenses score high numbers but all of that would be avoidable if they improve their depth. They look like a Super Bowl-caliber team but the chances of another fallout are high since Kansas City will likely face them in the AFC Championship game. This isn’t to say the Ravens will lose, but the outlook of the Chiefs’ defense might be better than what Baltimore has.
The Ravens needed more firepower behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman so they understood that while Johnson is a good fit, he probably isn’t the superstar he’s looking for. Baltimore said Bateman and Flowers are still their top two which means they’re not prioritizing Johnson. This could signal he may head elsewhere in 2025. While the offseason is still months away, the Ravens may bring in Adams to finally call themselves a super team.
Wild-Card Woes
Jim Harbaugh’s dream of helping the Los Angeles Chargers go to the Super Bowl may have to wait. They may be 6-3 but they have plenty of woes in their passing game that still needs to be addressed. The team had chances to bring in some talent to help receivers like Joshua Palmer and rookie Ladd McConkey but they believe more in run game than ever. Justin Herbert will probably become a first-round exit if this is the type of philosophy that Harbaugh wants to establish.
The run game can take them far but it can’t be the only dependable option for the offense. Herbert thrives better when throwing the football and grabbing someone like Davante Adams could check the boxes for the pass-catching talent. Quentin Johnston is looking like his old self and DJ Chark is more of an inconsistent journeyman. Adams may be their answer finally to make a legitimate deep run in the postseason.
