Cornerback Nate Wiggins had a hilarious admission during his first press conference with the media on Friday.
Wiggins admitted that he was in the bathroom when the Baltimore Ravens were calling him to tell him that they’d be taking him.
“Actually, when they called me I was in the bathroom,” Wiggins said.
Hey, at least he’s honest!
He arrived in Baltimore after getting drafted and was considered to be one of the top cornerbacks in this draft class.
He spent three seasons with Clemson and finished the 2023 season with 28 total tackles, six passes defended, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a sack. Wiggins is a do-it-all corner and will get quite a few reps this upcoming season.
His best individual season came in 2022 when he recorded 30 total tackles, 11 passes defended, and an interception.
The Ravens are one of the best teams in the league at building through the draft and they’ll have an opportunity to keep showing that throughout this weekend.
They’re fresh off a berth in the AFC Championship Game before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.
