The Washington Commanders finished a magical regular season with five consecutive wins to finish 12-5. It was Washington’s most regular-season wins in 33 years. On Sunday, the Commanders defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to end another streak. It was Washington’s first playoff win in 19 years.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels once again led the way for Washington, completing 24 of 35 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns. Daniels also led the Commanders with 36 rushing yards, including a third-and-1 run late to put Washington in position for kicker Zane Gonzalez’s game-winning field goal.
It was a hard-fought win, and things get even tougher next week against the top-seeded Detroit Lions. But before we turn the page to next week, here are five takeaways from Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers.
