The Washington Commanders have a new wide receiver. On Wednesday, the Commanders signed Noah Brown one day after finalizing their first 53-man roster. Brown, 28, comes to Washington after spending last season with the Houston Texans. A seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, Brown spent his first six NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.
Washington fans were in panic mode at wide receiver after the team traded away former first-round pick Jahan Dotson last week and did not make another move to replace him. New general manager Adam Peters wasn’t going to make a move just to make a move and believes the Commanders will be fine at receiver in 2024. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Brown made too much sense for Washington. In 10 games last season, Brown caught 33 passes for 567 yards, with three touchdowns. He averaged over 17 yards per reception.
