The Washington Commanders’ dream season is over. The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Commanders 55-23 to advance to Super Bowl LIX.
Heading into Sunday’s game against the Eagles, the Commanders hadn’t turned the ball over in their previous two postseason road games. On Sunday, Washington had four turnovers, and the Eagles turned them into 28 points.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels was under pressure throughout the game, finishing 29 of 48 with 255 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and 48 rushing yards.
Washington finished the regular season 12-5 and won two playoff games, giving them 14 victories on the season — 10 more than it had one year ago.
