I would say informally more teams had JD QB1 than QB3.

GM Adam Peters, Coach Dan Quinn, and the entire Commanders staff had an outstanding three days of draft picks! I’m excited about the players joining us and the future of this franchise.

The #Commanders gave former Colorado State CB Chig Anusiem a whopping $50,000 signing bonus and a $300K base salary guarantee, per source. Half the league wanted Anusiem after he went undrafted, and Washington paid up to lock him in.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) April 28, 2024
#Commanders sign safety Tyler Owens to undrafted free agent deal that includes $20,000 signing bonus, $225,000 of base salary guaranteed for total guarantees of $245,000, per a league source
— Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) April 28, 2024
Hartman getting $225,000 base salary guaranteed plus $20K signing bonus, per source.
I’m gonna keep harping on their planning for 2025. Only Daniels of the 4 QBs on roster pre-draft were locked into 2025 plans. Hartman offers a 2025 reserve option (maybe ’24 QB3?) https://t.co/Of8cfmXcZk

Watching Newton vs Iowa and he’s just tossing OL aside like they’re not even there.
Seen him line up on the edge and rush vs the RT, saw him line up as a stand up LB over the C and rush.
Has run down two WR screens in this game alone.
How was this guy not a 1st rounder??
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) April 28, 2024
Here’s a quick edit. Tossing guys aside, rushing from different positions while standing up, running down WR screens. Newton is fun pic.twitter.com/gb7EsQkDp0
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) April 28, 2024
They played a 3-man front so he played a lot of 4i technique, which is just shaded inside the OT. He can move around, but most effective as an interior rusher

Michigan DB Mike Sainristil, who played WR before transitioning to the defensive side of the football, is an amazing athlete with excellent ball skills. We currently have him graded as an early day two prospect with late day one NFL potential. #NFLDraft

Offensive line help in Philadelphia: Former Jets first-round draft choice Mekhi Becton plans to sign a one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million with the Eagles, pending a physical Monday, per his agents Alan Herman and Jared Fox. Becton is expected to be the Eagles swing tackle. pic.twitter.com/3GFyNupDOb

Confirmed that ex-Jet OT Mekhi Becton is signing with the Eagles for a 1-year deal. Wanted to be with Philadelphia’s OL coach, Jeff Stoutland.
There were three other teams showing interest. The Commanders were not in that group. The LT watch continues.https://t.co/cyYHvemeg4
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) April 28, 2024
What LT should they have signed in FA that would have everyone sleep better at night. Tyronn Smith? Jets used the 10th pick on his replacement in part because they don’t trust him to stay healthy. Who else?
We can keep believing Santa Claus is real if we want. https://t.co/KKN33AyzCP
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) April 28, 2024
The way to ensure you moved into the 1st for OT was to trade the 2025 first. That gets the deal done. That’s a Snyder/Tepper move. I’m not in the camp. If that means I’m giving this group a pass, fine with me. https://t.co/bvbzaKOed2
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) April 28, 2024
Anything can be done is not a real argument in the real world. Everything has a cost. The Vikings are thinking playoffs. It’s reasonable to think Washington will have a top 10 pick next year. Not to comp.
Also, needed a team to trade out. OT market was cooking. https://t.co/vlYO5Kh48x
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) April 28, 2024
The post-draft main concern for many is LT. Understood. They tried moving into the 1st and chose (presumably) not to pay way over sticker price. Shallow pool of FA options then and now. They have the cap space to sign someone else the rest of the league has determined wasn’t… https://t.co/jvQoF98G8B pic.twitter.com/GnMPrgdQ4l
