Re: Mike Sainristil switching to No. 0 for the #Commanders
RB Johnny Olszewski wore it for Washington for 3 seasons, 1958-60. Fun Fact: On his best day he rushed for 190 yards vs. the #Browns but wasn’t even the game’s leading rusher. Bobby Mitchell rushed for 232 for Cleveland. pic.twitter.com/KvJEbyDdm7— Dan Daly (@dandalyonsports) August 29, 2024
What’s a Mariota-like processor mean? Because people close to the situation (i.e. his last three head coaches and play callers) have described a quick processor. https://t.co/dI9ay0cL8q
— Marshall (@MarshW_7) August 29, 2024
It doesn’t necessarily mean slow processor. Essentially he can get through reads on time and get to what’s open. Which is why he’s stuck around in the league for as long as he has.
But, he struggles to anticipate what will be open. Which is why he can’t hang on to a starting job
— Nick Akridge (@PFF_NickAkridge) August 29, 2024
Do you see that as a particular area of struggle for Jayden? Not rhetorical, legitimately asking.
— Marshall (@MarshW_7) August 29, 2024
Yes and no. I wanted him to do it more consistently but he showed enough examples for me to think that he can handle it at the next level.
I wanted to see how he handled it in the preseason but the plan was to get the ball out quickly so I still have no idea how it’ll translate

Aiyuk’s agent https://t.co/aYIYB9UqUm
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) August 29, 2024
The 49ers only were willing to trade Brandon Aiyuk if they could get a top-flight WR to replace him. They offered a third-round pick to Denver for Courtland Sutton, and then would’ve dealt Aiyuk to the Steelers, but the Broncos declined the offer.
So, he stays in SF.
— Dianna Russini (@DMRussini) August 29, 2024
I hope Brandon Aiyuk’s offseason of social media nonsense doesn’t become the norm for players in contract disputes.
I’m all for holding out, asking for a trade, etc. but here’s hoping his tired playbook — publicly tweeting at Mike Tomlin, posting photos and video calls with…
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) August 29, 2024
From my vantage point, if he had not done all of that, would he have gotten what he asked for originally? I’d say that’s a hard no. The 49ers are responsible for creating that mess, not Aiyuk.
— G Rob (@GRobDMVtoATL) August 29, 2024
Not doing all of that would have netted the same result. He got less than another team offered already. The calendar got the deal done imo.
Lamb did none of that and got paid. No causation. Also reports are this was offered weeks ago.

Scott Hanson just said on WFAN that the NFL will have 3+ games in the late window going forward primarily because of NFL RedZone.
So no more 2 game late slates!
— uSTADIUM (@uSTADIUM) August 27, 2024
It should be a 4 game minimum. There’s enough games to go around lol.
— Matthew Lownes (@LownesMatthew) August 27, 2024
Yup that’s what Scott said his preference is, 8 in early and 4 in late. But gets tricky later in the season with byes, international games, MNF doubleheaders, and Saturday/holiday games.
