As @AdamSchefter reported earlier, the Commanders have named Jim Salgado an interim defensive backs assistant. He was previously Michigan State’s CBs coach and spent six seasons as a defensive assistant for the Bills. Was also an assistant at Syracuse when Steve Russ was its LBs…

For all the talk about McLaurin and Dotson not getting open enough:
Curtis Samuel has been one of the NFL’s highest graded WRs in this category all season. He’s gotten open on 49% of snaps against man this year, 3rd best in the NFL among WRs with 100 snaps vs man. #Commanders

Best and worst receivers at getting charted as open vs single man coverage this season (min 45 snaps vs single man coverage). Metric is a little biased towards slot receivers, which makes it all the more impressive that AJ Brown and Mike Evans both show up in the top 10 pic.twitter.com/xpim0wjXvd

I’ve not studied any college prospects yet, so I couldn’t say how I feel on Williams/Maye. I would imagine a new GM/HC might find it hard to pass up on the opportunity to draft their own guy though https://t.co/FlHhJi7Ce0
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) November 29, 2023
I think it’s potential career suicide to pass up on a young, cheap and improving QB who’s proven he can perform at a high level, especially under less than ideal circumstances. “Their guy” fails way more often than not.
— SQUINNY (@saqdaddy) November 29, 2023
I dunno, could argue it’s the same if you pass on a QB and are wrong about the guy you have. Rivera regime gets tons of criticism for passing on Tua/Herbert for Chase Young back in 2020 when they wanted to see what Haskins could do.

This would be another Trent Williams type pick where you draft him and he’s the LT for the next 15 years. https://t.co/tgz9XwpVCX pic.twitter.com/OOcc6lo33a

Wouldn’t be a “sexy” pick for some fans and they’d boo the pick https://t.co/JqdH7QkzK8

I’ve said this a bunch recently I’d definitely move back into the 1st for Mims. Imagine getting bookends outta this draft https://t.co/3reRnac8PP

Brock Bowers is definitely this year’s “I can’t decide who to mock for this team so here’s someone who probably won’t bust” prospect.

#Bears CB Kyler Gordon was mic’d up when he was penalized for taking his helmet off, only for him to show that his facemask was broken — AND the video show a Vikings player took a swing at him.

DeSean Jackson is retiring as an Eagle this weekend, ending the careers of one of the NFL’s coolest players ever.
35 career TDs (29 receiving) of 50+ yards. Played for 6 different teams. Caught rainmakers from guys like Vick & Stafford to Kolb & Fitzmagic.

Update: USC QB Caleb Williams says it’s a “Game-time decision” whether he’ll declare for 2024 NFL draft.
