Marcus Mariota came off the bench today and worked his magic to lead us to victory over the Cowboys and help us clinch the 6th seed for the Playoffs! His key play was a 33-yard run that put us in the position to throw the game winning touchdown to our Pro Bowler Terry…

The Commanders have not won a playoff game in 19 years.
The last time they did? They were on the road, in the opening round, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay. Jayden Daniels was in Kindergarten.
20 seasons later, they’ll head back looking to end the drought.

The Commanders dramatic win over the Cowboys was a great way to end a great regular season.
But it also spotlighted concerns that could loom large in the postseason: pic.twitter.com/euv33rFW2i

Dan Quinn said he sat Jayden Daniels because of some mild leg soreness that cropped up.
Switching QBs was not expected.
— Ben Standig (@BenStandig) January 5, 2025
Jayden Daniels: “Just some leg soreness. At the end of the day, I respect the decision DQ and them make. Now it’s just [about] getting ready for next week.”
He said it’s an injury/issue that came up today.

Asked if he would’ve stayed in if the Commanders absolutely needed to win this game, Daniels said: “One hundred percent. They’d have to drag me off the field.”

Terry McLaurin explaining why his TD was called a “back-five” throw: “It’s almost like when your grandma puts the cookies high so the little kids can’t get it. … If you put that ball, a fade, low or around the defender, he can get his hands or play through the ball. But if you…

Commanders’ last 4 games of the season (all Ws):
-Survived an opponent’s game-winning 2-point try
-Threw a game-winning TD with 6 secs left
-Won in OT
-Threw a game-winning TD with 3 secs leftAlso won on a Hail Mary and on a buzzer-beating FG (when other team had no kicker)

I have to check the record book, but I can’t remember the team ever winning eight more games than the previous year. So much for Ron’s five-year plan.

With the Saints loss today, the Commanders moved up two positions in the fifth round of the 2025 draft.
If the Dolphins go on to lose, the Commanders third round pick will remain the same – the same goes for a Dolphins win.

absolutely no clue why ownership would let a lame duck HC coach Week 18 and cost them the No. 1 overall pick by winning
extremely low-IQ on the Krafts by allowing that to occur https://t.co/PihUsrHaHq

Two years ago, the #Texans won their finale to lose the No. 1 overall pick and Lovie Smith was fired shortly after the team plane returned to Houston.
Today, the #Patriots won their finale to lose the No. 1 pick and Jerod Mayo was fired about an hour later.

Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf is expected to return to the Patriots in that role.
Today’s Patriots move just impacts Jerod Mayo and the coaching staff.

Jerry Jones also made some concessions about the roster and some of the decisions but when I asked him if he would concede the role given the scrutiny of it this season the answer was, “ No. I bought the team and…somebody asked, ‘Did you buy this for your kids?’ And I said hell…

Eye-opening comments from Tyreek Hill on his Dolphins future after 8-9 non-playoff season:
