The Washington Commanders received some good news Tuesday to start the second week of OTAs. Starting defensive ends Chase Young and Montez Sweat were back with the team after missing last week.
Young missed last week while he was out in Colorado working with his trainer as he continues to recover from ACL surgery. Young will not participate in on-field drills at this time.
Sweat missed the first week of OTAs for personal reasons. Wide receiver Cam Sims was also in attendance. Sims missed time last week for the birth of his child.
The only player who missed last week that did not report Tuesday was wide receiver Terry McLaurin. That was expected. McLaurin will remain away from the team for voluntary OTAs until he receives a new contract.
Young is expected to speak with the media this week.
Chase Young, Montez Sweat and Daron Payne were all in attendance for the Commanders’ OTAs today, per the team.
Terry McLaurin, who has been holding out because of his contract situation, did not attend.
