The Washington Commanders improved to 10-5 with a 36-33 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Northwest Stadium. It was Washington’s third consecutive win and snapped Philadelphia’s 10-game winning streak.
Much like the Dallas game, this was a weird game — in a completely different way. The Eagles jumped out to a 14-0 lead and looked on the verge of blowing out the Commanders, but Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu intercepted Kenny Pickett, slowing down the Eagles’ momentum in the process. From there, the Commanders dealt with turnovers, but thankfully, they had rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Daniels passed for a career-high five touchdowns, and Washington’s offense, dealing with multiple injuries, looked a lot like the offense from the first half of the season, leading the Commanders to 36 points against the NFL’s top-ranked defense.
Here’s how we graded the Commanders after their Week 16 win over the Eagles.
