Dan Quinn speaks to the media before training camp practice
Washington Commander head coach Dan Quinn spoke to the media for the third day in a row. The players are set to practice for the second day of training camp at team headquarters in Ashburn, VA. Quinn said they will be doing more red zone work today, and will also be working on time/clock management. Washington hired former NFL HQ executive Dave Gardi this offseason, and he will be in booth on game days, and the team will be working on this during every practice.
Jamin Davis is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and the team has already declined his 5th-year option. Quinn and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt, Jr have been working him as a pass-rushing OLB during OTAs, and now during training camp practices. Quinn likes his speed an length, and wants to see if he can handle the role which improves his versatility and gives the defense more options. Former Redskins LB Ryan Kerrigan has been working with Davis, and Quinn said that has been great for the fourth-year player.

Dan Quinn on Jamin Davis. Said he spent the spring seeing how Davis covers TEs and RBs. Now the pass rush is in play. Having Ryan Kerrigan on staff is key for Jamin and he is “integral,” helping the LB process playing multiple spots.
