The Washington Commanders made two selections on day two of the 2022 NFL draft. Both players were from the University of Alabama.
With the No. 47 overall selection, the Commanders selected defensive tackle Phildarian Mathis. Washington picked again toward the end of the third round, selecting Alabama running back Brian Robinson Jr.
The Commanders entered the draft with only six picks. Thanks in part to a trade with the New Orleans Saints, Washington added two additional selections, one of which was No. 98.
