Liberty quarterback Malik Willis is arguably the top player remaining on the board heading into the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Most analysts expected Willis to be the first quarterback to come off the board, but the Pittsburgh Steelers ultimately chose Kenny Pickett.
With Day 2 of the draft approaching fairly soon, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has named four potential destinations for Willis. He believes the Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings are all in play for the dual-threat quarterback.
Rapoport added that Willis could come off the board very early in the second round.
“This all could come together very quickly for Malik Willis,” Rapoport said, via NFL.com. “There’s a couple of teams that have done a ton of homework on quarterbacks.”

In terms of value, any team that selects Willis in the second round has to feel good about the pick. He has the talent to eventually be a franchise quarterback.
Despite not hearing his name called on Day 1 of the draft, Willis remains upbeat.
“Still super appreciative and thankful for this opportunity to be in Vegas and is a prime example on adversity and continuing to grow in your faith TGFE,” Willis tweeted on Thursday night.
We should find out tonight where Willis’ pro career will begin.
