Julius Randle was heavily booed as the starting lineups were being announced on Wednesday evening for the New York Knicks.
It’s been a tough year for Randle as his play has dropped and he’s had some run-ins with some fans.
Back in January, he was booed off the court after the Knicks lost to the Spurs and he only had two points during that contest. He also flashed a “thumbs down” to Knick fans after he made a layup against the Celtics a couple of games before that one.
Boos for Julius Randle in starting lineup intros.

The NBA world doesn’t like how Randle continues to get booed as the season is close to being over.
all jokes aside, this really so mentally damaging https://t.co/H5S2frpVf4

Sick of these type of Knick fans, sick of them to the core. I hope potential FA take note, unless you just want a money grab for you and your family then I can understand why one would come here. https://t.co/TyD2ID0ooX

So much for Julius Randle and the Knicks being a “match made in Heaven” https://t.co/HgjGQIskLF

This is dumb and really don’t like it, idc how he’s played, you don’t boo your own players during intros https://t.co/v9ZNar0P0O

We shouldn’t ever wonder why FAs won’t come. Randle has been off this season but doesn’t deserve this. https://t.co/uiV5IoHXBo

Randle is averaging 20 points per game this season but is coming off a dreadful performance on Monday. He finished with only five points against the Bulls and played over half the game (28 minutes).
The Knicks are currently 34-42 this season, which is good for 11th in the Eastern Conference. They’re currently in action against the Charlotte Hornets.
