The Washington Commanders are in Miami for a joint practice with the Dolphins on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s preseason game between the two teams.
Before Thursday’s practice, Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said tight end Zach Ertz didn’t make the trip for “an excellent reason,” which is presumably the birth of his child. Also, Quinn announced that quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Sam Hartman were out for Saturday, which is why the Commanders signed Trace McSorley. It sounds like we’ll see plenty of Jeff Driskel on Saturday.
