Could the Los Angeles Lakers pursue one of the top coaches in the Western Conference? According to Marc Stein, the team is “seriously” interested in Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder.
Snyder, 55, is coming off his eighth season with the Jazz. Since joining the franchise in 2014, Snyder has a 372-264 record.
The Jazz have made the playoffs six years in a row under Snyder. However, they’ve been unable to get past the conference semifinals.
There’s no guarantee Snyder will actually consider joining the Lakers’ staff, but it’s fascinating that he’s on their radar.

Sam Amick of The Athletic recently reported that Snyder is “unsure” about his future with the Jazz.
“In terms of what might come next, it appears nearly every scenario is on the table,” Amick said.
The Jazz may consider making major changes to their roster and staff after losing in the first round of the playoffs.
With one year remaining on his contract, Snyder has an important decision to make this offseason.
