After trading for Deshaun Watson, the Baker Mayfield era in Cleveland appears to be coming to an abrupt end.
The former first overall pick is playing on his fifth-year option, making him too expensive to keep on the roster if he isn’t going to play. And Mayfield has since made it clear that he’d like to be traded elsewhere.
The Steelers were reported to be interested in Mayfield should he hit the free agent market. But now, a couple of other teams have emerged as contenders for Baker’s services. Per Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson the Titans and Bucs could be interested in the former Heisman Trophy winner.
“Getting the temperature on Baker Mayfield…and, man, I gotta tell ya, there’s interest in that guy.”@CharlesRobinson and @shalisemyoung talk about possible 2023 options for Baker on You Pod to Win the Game.

Tennessee is seen as a viable option due to there being an exit from Ryan Tannehill after next season. If Tannehill were to have a bad season in 2022, Mayfield would certainly be an intriguing option.
Robinson also notes Tampa Bay as a possibility, given the fact that the Buccaneers may likely only have one more year of Tom Brady behind center. Whether that be via a second retirement, or wanting to wear another uniform.
There’s definitely interest around the league when it comes to Baker Mayfield.
But since the entire league knows the Browns want to move off of him, he has little-to-no trade value in the eyes of most teams.
