Injury updates
The Washington Commanders enter their Week 4 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals with a few players dealing with injuries.
Three players have been ruled out for Sunday’s 4:05 pm game. Dan Quinn ruled out RB Austin Ekeler(concussion) and DE Clelin Ferrell(knee) before Wednesday’s practice. Neither player traveled with the team to Arizona. Ekeler was flown back to Virginia after suffering a concussion during the Bengals game. WR Jamison Crowder was added to the injury report late on Wednesday with a calf injury. He was at practice with his calf wrapped, and he has also been ruled out this week.
The Washington Commanders had five other players listed with injuries this week, but none of them have injury designations for Sunday’s game. Sam Cosmi was listed with an Achilles injury, which always raises concerns for linemen. He was back to full participation during today’s practice, and said he would be good to go earlier in the week. Benjamin St-Juste was limited with a chest injury earlier in the week, but he was also full go today. Quan Martin was limited on Wednesday with an elbow injury.
Jer’Zhan Newton is still being listed on the injury report with a foot injury, but he played again last week and has been full in practice all week. Emmanuel Forbes had thumb surgery for a torn UCL after Week 1, and has missed the last two games. He’s been full at practice all week, and was wearing extra protection on his right hand yesterday.
