When you think of the Washington NFL franchise, one of the first images you have is of Hall of Fame running back John Riggins’ 43-yard touchdown run against the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII. While Washington has had some famous running backs over the years, the franchise has only two 1,000-yard rushers since Alfred Morris rushed for over 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons from 2012 to 2014. Heading into the 2024 season, the Commanders have a solid backfield led by Austin Ekeler and Brian Robinson Jr.
